Pilots know how important it is to close a flight plan after landing, however after a long flight it is easy to get in a hurry and forget. Close Your Flight Plan serves as an important reminder for pilots to close your flight plan. Before takeoff, tell the app your approximate time enroute. When the timer expires a message pops up as a reminder to close your flight plan.

If you haven’t already, you have the option to close your flight plan using the app in two ways. First you can input your information into the form and submit it electronically (this requires a DUATS account). The other option is to call FSS directly from the app. With Close Your Flight Plan you won’t have to worry about forgetting to close your flight plan out anymore.
